This was the first year where he wasn't in a year round school, so I was concerned with the same problem...allowing him to celebrate with his friends from school. I didn't think about having a early birthday party in June. I'll have to think of this for next year. It's a trial to figure out a way to do "save the date" announcements for a first grader. Usually we have his birthday party celebration combined with a big backyard party that has grown to include a large tent and a huge inflatable bounce/slide. Whoever invented those things is a godsend!!!! I usually have to threaten to unplug it to get the kids to come out of it to eat. Nadine Hi
